Tim McAneney hired as new Lenape Football Coach

Lenape High School Director of Athletics Tim Walsh has announced the hiring of Tim McAneney as the new head football coach at Lenape High School.

“We had the opportunity to meet and interview many great football coaches, but Tim McAneney demonstrated a vision and a plan that is the right fit for Lenape High School,” said Director of Athletics Tim Walsh. “We are proud to welcome Tim to Lenape. His energy, leadership, communication skills, and preparedness are evident. These characteristics make him the right person to meet the high expectations of Lenape High School and its football program.”

McAneney had previously coached for nine years at Bishop Eustace, leading that school to a school-record four consecutive play-off appearances, and at Holy Cross, winning the state championship for the Lancers in 2008.

The Lenape Indians, under the direction of Head Coach Tim McAneney, will open their 2011 campaign at Cherokee High School on Sept. 9.
