Registration of children who will enter kindergarten next September will be held at Mt. Laurel Schools during the week of March 7.
At the same time, any student who is currently attending a private kindergarten but will be coming to Mt. Laurel’s first-grade classes in September should also be registered.
“We try very hard to get these little ones registered early,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Antoinette Rath, “ because we want to give them the best possible start to their educational career. The annual Roundup gives us a chance to get their classes set and the staff in place over the summer months, as we do with all other grade levels.”
“Children registered during Roundup are also invited to the Kindergarten Orientation held in May. That’s a terrific introduction to the school with fun activities for the students and sessions with staff for all of the parents,” said Rath.
Kindergarten/First-Grade Roundup will be held on Monday, March 7; Tuesday, March 8; Thursday, March 10; and Friday, March 11 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Larchmont, Parkway, Springville and Hillside Schools. Countryside School and Fleetwood School registration will be on the same days from 1 to 2:30 p.m.
An evening registration on Wednesday, March 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. has been set at all six of Mt. Laurel’s K-4 schools for parents who cannot attend during the day.
Students should be registered at the school they will attend based on the district’s geographic attendance plan. Parents who are unsure of their sending area school will find information on the district website at http://www.mtlaurelschools.org/district/attendance.php or may call the district administrative offices at 235–3387.
