The Voorhees Township Public Schools will hold kindergarten registration for the 2011–12 school year in March. Any child, who will turn five years of age on or before Oct. 1, is eligible for kindergarten admission in September 2011. First grade registration will also take place for children coming from private kindergartens for September 2011. Please note specific dates and times.
Registration for September kindergarten will be held on the following days at the district’s four elementary schools — E. T. Hamilton, Kresson, Osage and Signal Hill:
March 9 for last names beginning with letters A-L (Kindergarten Only).
March 16 for last names beginning with letters M-Z (Kindergarten Only).
March 23 and March 30 for make-up registration and first grade registration.
Each registration will run from 9:30 to 11 a.m., and 1 to 3 p.m. If these times conflict with parents’ schedules, they should contact the school to make other arrangements. Registration packets may be picked up in the school offices prior to registering.
At registration, the parent or guardian must present the child’s birth certificate, immunization record and three proofs of Voorhees residence. Types of documents eligible for use to verify your residency are available on the district Web site.
