Getting down to business

Even in this time of national economic turmoil, Voorhees’ business is as strong as ever, according to Arnold Wallace Jr., chairman of the Voorhees Economic Development Committee.

“Despite tough economic times,” Wallace said, “Voorhees was able to generate new business.”

What could be a quiet success story, the Economic Development Committee, is growing in volume daily through initiatives of the committee and the Voorhees Business Association.

“Both the Economic Development Committee and the VBA share a common goal of business success,” Wallace said. “We’re vigilant about the lines of communication between these groups. Sharing this information allows the opportunity to grow, and effectively communicates to others how the town is growing.”
