The YMCA of Burlington County has announced the addition of seven new members to its Board of Governors. Jake Der Hagopian, Sharon Hammel, Brian Kearns, Rob Kenny, Rich Lewis, Anthony Mongeluzo and Robert Worley will each serve two-year terms. Board members work to set policies and procedures and help raise awareness of the Y’s mission of strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
Der Hagopain, a widely known entrepreneur and civic leader, has extensive experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic business planning, re-organizations and business development. He serves as chairman of the Moorestown Economic Development Advisory Committee and the Salvation Army Kroc Center Campaign in Camden. Jake and his wife reside in Moorestown with their two sons.
Hammel is senior vice president/NJ market executive at Beneficial Bank where she oversees the NJ branch network of 30 branches. A long-time friend of the Y, Sharon is a former YMCA Board member and has been involved with fundraising since 1997. For two consecutive years, she served as co-chair for the annual Strong Kids Campaign. Sharon resides in Lumberton.
Kearns is president of Kearns Consulting and has more than 20 years of diversified financial experience. He has also held executive-level positions with The Lannett Company, MedQuist Inc. and Banc of America Securities. Active with the YMCA, Brian was involved with the Y’s Mt. Laurel playground campaign and is a member of the newly formed Development Committee as well as the Major Gifts team. Brian and his wife reside in Moorestown with their three children.
Kenny is the director/principal at Expense Reduction Analysts. He has 20 years of industry experience working with business leaders to define process improvements and achieve sustainable cost reductions. Rob has been working with the NJ State Alliance of YMCAs over the last year on a cost reduction/shared services initiative. He and his wife reside in Moorestown with their two children.
Lewis is owner and general manager of Burlington Press, a company he founded with his wife in 1993. Active with his local community, Rich serves on the Board of Directors of the Burlington Rotary Club, Burlington County Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the American Red Cross. He serves as vice-chair of the Y Marketing Committee. He resides with his wife Medford.
Mongeluzo is president and founder of Pro Computer Service, an IT firm operating in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland. A computer expert, Anthony is a regular media source for broadcast, print and digital media. He is also the founder of Monge Realty LLC, which makes strategic investment in the residential and commercial real estate markets. Anthony resides in Marlton.
Worley is senior vice president and market manager for southern New Jersey at Republic First Bank, after spending 17 years with Commerce/TD Bank as market president. He has been involved with fundraising at the Y for more than 15 years. Rob, his wife and their two children reside in Medford Lakes.
