Kindergarten registration is March 29 through April 1 at the individual schools. Please note that make-up registration is April 15th at all locations.
In order for a child to be eligible for kindergarten, he/she must be five years old by September 30th of the school year. Each child is required to have a physical examination before entrance into kindergarten. A registration packet containing entrance requirements will be available in the offices of the elementary schools after March 1. This can be picked up and completed in advance of registration. Your packet will include the following items:
• Registration questionnaire.
• Information for NJ SMART.
• Physical examination form
• Health history and questionnaire.
• Dental exam form (recommended but not required).
At the time of registration, a parent or guardian will need to show two current proofs of residency such as utility bills, lease or agreement of sale, tax bill etc. An original birth certificate with a raised seal is needed. Immunization dates for the child must be verified. An immunization book or record must show the doctor’s signature or office stamp. The child must accompany a parent or guardian to registration for an informal screening. Each elementary school will register new kindergarteners during specific periods of time according to the first letter of their last name. Below is a schedule of registration dates and times according to school.
Beeler Elementary School
March 30 — A-I: 9 to 11 a.m. and J-R: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
March 31 — S-Z: 9 to 11 a.m.
DeMasi Elementary School
March 30 — A-H: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and I-P: 1 to 2:30 p.m.
March 31 — Q-Z: 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Evans Elementary School
March 30 — A-F: 9 to 10:30 a.m. and G-M: 1 to 2:30 p.m.
March 31 — N-S: 9 to 10:30 a.m. and T-Z: 1 to 2:30 p.m.
Jaggard Elementary School
March 30 — A-F: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and G-L: 12 to 2 p.m.
March 31 — M-R: 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. and S-Z: 12 to 2 p.m.
Marlton Elementary School
March 30 — A-F: 9 to 11 a.m. and G-L: 12 to 2 p.m.
March 31 — M-R: 9 to 11 a.m. and S-Z: 12 to 2 p.m.
Rice Elementary School
March 30 — A-F: 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. and G-M: 1 to 3 p.m.
March 31 — N-S: 9:15 to 11:15 a.m. and T-Z: 1 pm to 3 p.m.
Van Zant Elementary School
March 29 — A-I: 8:30 to 11 a.m. and J-R: 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.
April 1 from S-Z: 8:30 to 11:00 a.m.
