On Oct. 5, at approximately 3:50 p.m., the Moorestown Police Department reported that a 12-year-old MTPS student got off the school bus at S. Shirley and Beacon avenues, walking south towards Westbrook Drive, when a white panel type work van with no windows pulled alongside the student.
The van was described as dirty, “beat up” with a crack in the windshield, missing the driver’s side mirror, possible ladder racks, with unknown NJ registration.
Two, possibly Hispanic, males occupied the vehicle. The driver was bald and the passenger had a moustache with athletic build. The passenger asked the student to get in the vehicle to help look for his son. The student refused at which point the passenger ordered the student to get in the van as he reached and tried to grab her.
The student ran home and the mother called police.
