On May 10, age 81, of Cherry Hill, formerly of Haddonfield, and beloved wife of the late John A., Jr. Survived by three children, John A. III (Luecrisha) of Medford, G. Steven (Diane) of Tabernacle and Lisa A. DeGraffenreid of Medford, five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Axner was a graduate of Hood College, Frederick, Md. and Pennsylvania Hospital Training for Medical Technology. Axner was a medical technician at the Coriell Institute for Medical Research and South Jersey Urological Associates. She was a member of the American Society for Clinical Pathology.
She loved to play bridge with her lifelong friends from Collingswood and Cape May.
Mrs. Axner’s family will receive friends on Friday Morning after 11 a.m., in the Sanctuary of the First Presbyterian Church of Haddonfield, 20 E. Kings Hwy., Haddonfield. Services will follow at noon. Interment, private. Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Axner’s name to the Coriell Institute for Medical Research, 401 Haddon Ave., Camden, NJ 08103.
