Raines Dental LLC, a full-service practice providing comprehensive general and cosmetic dentistry in Mullica Hill, turns the spotlight on Prostate Cancer this November with its Grow & Give effort to create awareness and advance treatment of the disease that impacts men of all ages and all walks of like. During the month, Dr. Raines and his staff are encouraging patients to take part even without the need or razors and trimmers. Instead, patients can take a photo with a “make do” mustache-on-a-stick and post to social media. For everyone who participates, Raines Dental will make a donation to support ZERO and its Grow & Give campaign to benefit prostate cancer research, patient programs and awareness outreach.
The Raines Dental first Grow & Give effort comes on the heels of the practice’s successful Pink Wednesday campaign – a program in place for three years now. Like many of the efforts initiated by Dr. Raines, this is a personal one. Statistics show that one in nine American men will have prostate cancer during his lifetime and it’s the second leading cause of cancer death among this group. Creating awareness and raising funds to advance treatment is an integral part of saving lives. In addition to its own contribution, Raines Dental is also encouraging patients to share in this effort, accepting donations at the office throughout the month.
“Like many other cancers and illnesses, early detection can really make a difference and it is something I saw for myself earlier this fall,” said Owner Jason Raines. “Bringing greater awareness of prostate cancer, which can target our dads, brothers, sons and friends, we want to and can make a difference whether providing dental treatment, helpful education or support throughout the year.”
