Local youth working to provide shelter for the homeless

More than 20 local youth will travel on a mission trip to serve Habitat For Humanity in providing shelter for the homeless.

More than 20 youths along with adult supervisors will leave for Goldsboro, North Carolina on Saturday, July 8 at 9 a.m. on a mission trip to serve Habitat For Humanity in providing shelter for the homeless.

The group will depart from the Lutheran Church of Our Savior in Haddonfield and return Saturday evening, July 15.

Hosted by the Goldsboro-Wayne chapter of Habitat For Humanity, this is the LCOS Youth Group’s 9th annual mission trip to serve others.

They held various fund-raisers throughout the year to raise the required $4,800 to donate toward the cost of building materials. Participants pay their own travel expenses.
