More Gloucester Twp. streets to be sprayed for mosquitos early Friday

Mosquito spraying will take place on numerous Gloucester Township streets during the overnight hours.

More mosquito spraying on is tap for Gloucester Township early Friday morning. The Camden County Mosquito Control Commission schedules spraying on an as-needed basis based upon the results of its surveillance efforts and input from the public.

“With last night’s showers and rain throughout the week, there has been a lot of moisture and water left behind in our area,” said Freeholder Jeff Nash, liaison to the Camden County Mosquito Commission. “Mosquitos need standing water to breed, so the first thing you should do after any rain is check your yard and remove any standing water to help eliminate the threat. This simple act can help reduce the pest population in your neighborhood, and assist the efforts of the Camden County Mosquito Control Commission.”
