All pet adoption fees will be waived for Aug. 17 at Burlington County Animal Shelter

The one-day event will take place at the Burlington County Animal Shelter from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Burlington County Freeholder Daniel O’Connell announced that the Burlington County Animal Shelter is teaming up with NBC10’s Clear the Shelters event on Saturday, Aug. 17. The one-day event will take place at the Burlington County Animal Shelter from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. On this day, all pet adoption fees will be waived to help local families adopt a pet.

“Burlington County is very proud be participating in the Clear the Shelters event again this year,” said Freeholder Daniel O’Connell, liaison to the Animal Shelter. “NBC and Telemundo owned stations are teaming up with hundreds of shelters across the county to host Clear the Shelters, a nationwide pet adoption drive to help find loving homes for animals in need. Since 2015, more than 250,000 pets nationwide have been adopted as a result of this wonderful program.”

Last year, the Burlington County Animal Shelter found 84 animals their forever homes during this one-day event.
