A Sicklerville family has been forced out of their home following a Wednesday morning house fire.
On Wednesday July 17 at approximately 09:36 a.m., the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to the 100 block of St. Moritz Drive in Sicklerville for a report of smoke coming from the residence. Upon officers arrival, the residence was emitting a light smoke condition.
Gloucester Township Fire Departments, Pine Hill Fire Department and Gloucester Township EMS responded to the scene. A short time later the fire was placed under control. There was one reported minor injury for heat exhaustion to a firefighter on scene. The firefighter was evaluated by EMS and treated on scene.
Gloucester Township OEM and the American Red Cross are assisting the displaced family.
The fire is currently under investigation by the Camden County Fire Marshal’s Office and the Gloucester Township Police Department.
