Power wasn’t the only thing residents were left without— various sports games were cancelled, along with the township’s annual Easter Egg hunt.

“For the parks, we basically had to cancel anything that was out there — any sports,” said parks and recreation clerk Tiffany Carney. “It’s affected our Easter egg hunt, which is now cancelled and rescheduled.”

The community Easter egg hunt at Owens park will now be rescheduled for Saturday, March 31 at 12 p.m.

About eight to 10 major trees came down at Owens park, roughly four at Mary Mazza Duffy Memorial Park, and sixteen were damaged at the park on Church Street, according to Carney.
