St. Matthew’s Baptist Church in Williamstown will host a Substance Abuse Conference for the community on Saturday, April 21.
St. Matthew’s Baptist Church, in Williamstown, will host a Substance Abuse and Rehabilitation Conference, to highlight the crises that communities are facing, and to build awareness of support services available to families and individuals. The conference is set for Saturday, April 21 at 9 a.m.
“We felt compelled to work with our local mayors and officials to help our surrounding communities find the supports they need to face the substance abuse crisis”, senior pastor, Raymond M. Gordon, Sr. said. “Families are devastated as a result of substance abuse and it is our hope to help them take action into recovery and rehabilitation”.
The Substance Abuse Conference is a collaborative effort with mayors from Monroe, Winslow and Gloucester Townships, and will be held at the St. Matthew’s Community Development Recreation Center in Williamstown. All are welcome to attend.
St. Matthew’s has been under the leadership and direction of Gordon for over 30 years. The churchis located at 245 Glassboro Road.
