Warm weather offers the opportunity to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
The Voorhees Township Committee is pleased to welcome the summer of 2015 and our 12th Annual Summer Twilight Series to be held on the “Great Lawn” at Connolly Park. We are excited to present another fun-filled summer of free entertainment.
The first show is Thursday, June 11 (rain date June 18) and will feature Beginnings, the world’s №1 tribute to Chicago. They are billed as “The ultimate Chicago Band” and will be one of the most enjoyable and entertaining shows you will ever see. Chicago’s timeless classics transcend generations.
The second show is July16 (rain date July 23) and will feature Evolution: A Tribute to Journey. This show recreates the history and hit songs of the legendary band and draws thousands of fans everywhere they play.
On Friday, Aug. 7, Voorhees Township welcomes for the first time, Good Vibrations: A Celebration of the Beach Boys. Good Vibrations blends the vocal layering and studio precision that is a signature of the Beach Boys with the energy of a live stage production. Elaborate lighting effects and costumes aptly frame the seasoned musicians who step into these very large shoes torender an authentic Beach Boys’ experience.
We will conclude the Summer Twilight Series with the Township’s Annual Movie Night in the Park on Saturday, September 12 (rain date September 19).
The Township’s Summer Twilight Series provides fun for all ages. All shows are at Connolly Park on Centennial Boulevard with plenty of free parking.

** The annual Animal Welfare Association Paws & Feet 5K Race & Doggie Fun Day is May 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cooper River Park, Pennsauken. This 3.1 mile run or walk is a great way for animal lovers to support AWA’s mission of helping pets and people. The day is full of great activities including pet contests, an agility course, pet demonstrations, and entertainment. This year’s Paws & Feet theme is Superheroes. **On Saturday, May 30, our schools will hold a Color-A-Thon from 9–11 a.m. at Connolly Park. (Registration begins at 8 a.m.) Money raised will support the Parent Faculty Associations of VMS, ET Hamilton, Osage and Kresson Schools to help fund student and school needs.
