A beautiful day greeted participants of the Gloucester Township Special Parents & Kids Network’s third annual Hooked On Fishing, Not On Drugs fishing outing at Dramesi Lake Park on Sunday, June 25. More than 20 kids took part in the event, which is held in conjunction with ASAC, and everyone caught at least one fish with guidance from volunteers and “fishing guru” Arthur Friedlander.

SPKN is grateful to everyone who supported the Hooked On Fishing, Not On Drugs and is already looking forward to next year’s event. A special thank you went out on SPKN’s Facebook page to volunteers and sponsors: Friedlander, Dot and George Foreman, Jim Parker, Royal Bank America, Knights Of Columbus Holy Crusaders Council №9193, Gloucester Township Education Association, Gloucester Township Educational Foundation, the Carr family, ShopRite and Walmart of Deptford, Gloucester Township Public Works, Gloucester Township Police Department, Gloucester Township Recreation Department, Family Imports, Creek Keepers, Mike’s Bait Shop and Ray Scott’s Dock, Artatech and Ferritt Printing, and a number of other volunteers.
