House fire on Davistown Road, Blackwood

Emergency services received a call around 4 p.m., Sunday

On Sunday July 22, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Gloucester Township Police received a 9-1-1 call reporting a house fire on Davistown Road in the Blackwood section of Gloucester Township.

Arriving units found extensive fire on the exterior of the residence and confirmed that the residents had already evacuated the home. Firefighters from Blackwood (Station #84) quickly brought the fire under control with the assistance of firefighters from Chews Landing (Station #82), Erial (Station #86), Glendora (Station #81), Deptford (Station #93), Runnemede (Station #75) and Pine Hill (Station #62).

There were no reported injuries. Unfortunately the residents were displaced due to the damage to the home. The cause of fire is under investigation but is believed to be accidental.
