Weekly Roundup: Council inserts grants into budget, GTPD announces junior police academy

GTPD announces seventh annual junior police academy this week.

Juveniles will be considered cadets and will be given a uniform to wear every day. The program includes physical training, lectures, presentations, hands-on activities and a field trip. The academy will take place over the course of three sessions depending upon age groups. Registration for residents begins May 29.

The upcoming Summer of Service program launches June 6 at Camden County College in Blackwood. 4-H aims to provide real-life experiences and help build important life skills in youth.
