Art Garfunkel coming to Rowan University

The Grammy award-winning musician will bring his unique vocal styles to the university in the spring.

Tickets will go on sale Nov. 2 for legendary vocalist Art Garfunkel’s concert scheduled for March 16, 2019, as part of the university’s Marie Rader Presenting Series.

The award-winning voice of a generation will take his audience on a musical journey through a career spanning more than 60 years. Garfunkel’s signature vocal style is among the most recognizable in the history of popular music, from his earliest efforts as a teenager in the 1950s to his success as part of the seminal pop duo Simon and Garfunkel and through a notable solo career that continues to this day. Winner of six Grammy Awards and a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he has earned acclaim as an actor, poet and author.

The series, supported through a fund established in 2008 by friends of the late arts advocate Marie Rader, offers performing arts programming to engage and enrich the cultural life of the Rowan University community and beyond. Donations and proceeds from events help bring world-renowned artists such as Tony Bennett and Kristin Chenoweth to campus while nurturing educational opportunities as well as faculty and student performances.

Tickets are $75 each and can be purchased online at www.Rowan.Tix.com or by calling 856–256–4545. The concert takes place at Pfleeger Concert Hall on Rowan University’s Glassboro campus.

For additional information prior to the on-sale date, call the box office at 856–256–4545 or email [email protected].
