The following incident was taken from reports on file with The Medford Police Department:
On Feb. 18, at 7:38 p.m., Medford Police were contacted by Exceptional Medical Transport, who reported that one of their ambulances was transporting a juvenile that struck the side of their ambulance on Mill Street. After the juvenile struck the ambulance vehicle, the crew treated the juvenile and transported him to Virtua Voorhees. Police investigation revealed that the ambulance was traveling southbound on Mill Street and the juvenile was traveling northbound in the southbound shoulder. The juvenile struck a low hanging branch that was in the shoulder and it caused him to lose control. The juvenile’s bicycle then turned into the travel lane and struck the right rear side of the ambulance. The juvenile was treated for an ankle injury and released. There are no charges at this time. An investigation is being conducted by the Medford Township Police Department’s Traffic Safety Bureau.
