The following information was provided by the Medford Twp. Police Department.
On Feb. 26 at 1:11 p.m., Medford police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Fairview Road and Cove Lane of a 2009 White GMC pickup for a non working brake light.
While police were speaking with the driver, an odor of raw marijuana was detected emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Medford Police K-9 “Porter” alerted to the presence of narcotics inside of the vehicle. Police obtained a search warrant and found several plastic containers of raw marijuana.
The driver, a 22-year-old man from Medford, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana over 50 grams and drug paraphernalia. He was also charged with two motor vehicle summonses for maintenance of lamps and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle. He was released pending a municipal court date.
