Trustees and Friends of the Marie Fleche Memorial Library award scholarships

2017 Lucien P. Fleche Memorial Scholarship winners are Alyssa Victoria Bentz, Jennifer Rose Johnson

The Trustees and Friends of the Marie Fleche Memorial Library would like to congratulate the two recipients of the Lucien P. Fleche Memorial Scholarship. Alyssa Victoria Bentz was awarded a $1,000 scholarship as the first-place winner, and second-place winner Jennifer Rose Johnson was awarded a $500 scholarship. Both students are among Eastern Regional High School’s graduating Class of 2017 and residents of Berlin Borough.

Bentz, the daughter of Theresa and William Bentz, plans to attend Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia.

Johnson, the daughter of Anita and Joseph Johnson, will be attending Gettysburg College Sunderman Conservatory of Music.

This is the 57th year the Lucien P. Fleche Memorial Scholarship has been awarded. The scholarship is funded through the Trustees and the fundraising activities of the Friends of the Marie Fleche Memorial Library.
