Do Something: Holiday events, marathons and festivals throughout South Jersey area this weekend

Locals can find something to entertain all weekend long.

Thanksgiving still isn’t here, but residents still have plenty of ways to keep entertained this weekend. Here’s just a few ways to keep occupied.

In Marlton

  • The Evesham Library is hosting a “Make and Take Family Turkey Craft” on Sunday, Nov. 20. Starting at 2 p.m. residents and their familes can drop by the library for a feathery, colorful Turkey craft just in time to dress up your Thanksgiving table. All ages welcome. All supplies provided. Attendees are also encourged to stay for a Thanksgiving Story Time at 3 p.m.

In Cherry Hill

  • Cherry Hill residents looking to get into the holiday spirit can step back in time this weekend at Barclay Farmstead’s annual Holiday House. The farmstead will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Costumed hosts will be on hand as visitors will have the chance to tour the farmhouse. This year’s theme will be showcasing the three families who lived at the house. Crafts and gifts are available for sale. There will be a $5 donation fee at the door, with proceeds going toward the farmstead’s award-winning educational programs.   • This weekend will be the final two days of the Katz JCC’s Bank of America Festival of Arts, Books and Culture. Some of this weekend’s speakers include Kevin Pollak on Saturday at 8 p.m., Cherry Hill native Dr. David Agus on Sunday at 10 a.m. and Robert Rosenthal on Sunday at 11:30 a.m. To purchase tickets, visit http://katzjcc.org/abc-festival-tickets.

In Haddonfield

  • Beatles fans will want to be at Grace Performing Hall in Haddonfield on Saturday at 7 p.m. to listen to the tribute band Beatlemania Again. Beatlemania Again takes audiences on a musical journey back in time featuring over 30 of The Beatles greatest hits performed live on stage. In addition, the show features three amazing costume changes throughout the performance as well. At the Jersey Shore

  • American-made goods will be available for sale at the third annual Handmade in America Professional Craft Show on Saturday at the Upper Township Community Center, 1790 Route 50 in Tuckahoe. High quality crafters and artists and non-profits groups will be selling their goods at the event. Crafts include hand woven items with demonstrations, quilts, jewelry, pottery, baskets, turned wood, glass and more. Admission is free. Proceeds from the sale benefit local students through scholarships awarded by the Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association. In Philadelphia

  • Marathon runners will traverse the streets of Philadelphia on Sunday in the 2016 Philadelphia Marathon. The race begins at 7 a.m. and begins and ends on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.   • The 2016 Holiday Art Star Craft Bazaar will take place Saturday and Sunday at the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum, 6825 Norwitch Drive in Philadelphia. About 80 art and craft vendors will be set among a collection of vintage cars. Check out the cars and get some early holiday shopping completed at the bazaar. Admission is $3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, $2 from 3 to 4 p.m. and $1 from 4 to 5 p.m. Kids under 12 are admitted for free.
