ShopRite Supermarkets has announced that four of its registered dietitians were recently recognized for their work in serving customers, associates and members of the community during the fifth annual Progressive Grocer Retail Dietitian Symposium, held June 3 through June 5 in Anaheim, Calif.
Ashley Cully, a registered dietitian with the ShopRite of Marlton and the ShopRite of Evesham Road, received a Retail Dietitian Outreach Innovation Award at the ceremony.
According to ShopRite Supermarkets, the award recognized her efforts in coordinating a Gluten-Free Festival, which takes place each year in October at the ShopRite of Marlton. Her most recent event had 60 participating companies and was timed to coordinate with Celiac Awareness Month.
During the awards ceremony Culley spoke about the event and thanked her store owner, Ravitz Family Markets, for providing her with the tools and encouragement to make the annual event a success.
“We’re proud to see so many of our dietitians honored on a national stage for their tireless work promoting health and wellness in our stores and communities,” said Melanie Dwornik, manager of health and wellness at ShopRite. “Knowing that our dietitians are making a difference in the quality of life for our customers and community members is something we deeply value and are extremely grateful for.”
According to ShopRite Supermarkets, registered dietitians at ShopRites provide complimentary health and wellness services that guide customers on a range of issues.
