Film Viewing: “Search for the Cooper: A River Hidden in Plain View”. 7 to 8 p.m a classroom at the Haddonfield Library. Experience an expedition by a small group of students and adults paddling upstream by kayak from the Delaware River to find the source of the Cooper River in Gibbsboro. The river flows by Haddonfield for three miles, where it is “hidden” because most of these lands are inaccessible to the community. Register at the Haddonfield Public Library website.

Recycling with Roger Raccoon and Mindy’s Den (Workshop). 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in a classroom at the Haddonfield Library. For ages 6-11; Experiment with alternative energy sources: wind, hydro, and geothermal energy! Register at the Haddonfield Public Library website.
Residential Mosquito Control (Presentation). 7 p.m. Haddonfield Library. Learn about ways to control mosquitoes without chemicals, with presentations by Dr. Dina Fonseca, Chair Dept of Entomology at Rutgers, and HMHS students. Registration requested.

Jazz concert. 7 pm. First Presbyterian Church, 20 Kings Hwy E. Haddonfield. Featuring Jazz organist Lucas Brown, Bryon Landham on drums and Chris Lweis and Dylan Band on tenor saxophones. Free will offerings are accepted
The Haddonfield-Cooper River Connection (Presentation). 7 p.m. Haddonfield Library. Learn about the historical relationship between Haddonfield and the Cooper River, including Evans Pond, through historical photos and maps. The presentation will include description of the early 20th Century vision to establish parkland along the river and pond to benefit the community. Presented by the Haddonfield Water Trail Association Registration requested.
Saturday, April 20
Evans Pond Walk. 10 to 11:30 a.m. at Evans Pond. Walk the perimeter of Evans Pond including the beautiful but largely inaccessible banks on the Haddonfield side, and the woods of Croft Farm, with spectacular views of the mature woods across the pond in Haddonfield. This is a moderately challenging 75-minute walk; be prepared to get your feet wet or muddy. The Haddonfield Water Trail Association presents this program.
Tree Planting. 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Crows Woods. Get hands-on experience planting and mulching trees, and learn about trees that are suitable for local residential use. The Shade Tree Commission is presenting this program.
Native and Invasive Plants in Crows Woods (Walk). 1 to 2 p.m. Crows Woods. Crows Woods is more than soccer field! Learn about the native and invasive plants emerging in early Spring; led by naturalist Keara Giannotti and presented by the Haddonfield Environmental Commission .
