Gloucester County Nature Club

The Gloucester County Nature Club meets at the Holy Nativity Lutheran Church at the corner of Woodbury-Glassboro Road and Mantua Avenue, Wenonah. Meetings are scheduled for the second Thursday of the month, September through June, and are free and open to the public. For more information, please visit www.gcnatureclub.org. Through March 31 – 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. – Tire Amnesty Program. There is a special Saturday, March 16, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. – Gloucester County Solid Waste Complex, 493 Monroeville Road (Route 694), South Harrison Township.

April 20 – 8 a.m. – Annual Earth Day Cleanup at 8 a.m., Brandemarti Football Field at Riverwinds Complex, 1000 Riverwinds Drive, West Deptford. Open to all nonprofit organization in Gloucester County. Participating groups will earn $500 for their community service. Registration is required. The Gloucester County Highway Department will be hosting a meeting to discuss the federal aid project to re-pave Berlin Crosskeys Road from Route 42 to the Camden County boundary, along the frontage of Sam’s Club. The public meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at the Monroe Township Public Library, 713 Marsha Ave.

Saturday, April 13

Spring Arts and Crafts Festival from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., along Main Street. There will be vendors, food trucks, a petting zoo, bounce houses and face painting.

Monroe Township Public Schools: Accepting applications for the preschool lottery from Thursday, April 4 to Friday, May 3. The preschool lottery for the 2024-25 school year will take place Wednesday, May 8.

AARP Tax Aide volunteers needed for the next tax season. The service provided is offered free of charge all over the United States by the AARP Foundation. If focuses on taxpayers 50 and older and those of low to moderate income. Volunteers are needed in Deptford, Glassboro, Mullica Hill, Washington Township, West Deptford and Williamstown.
