The GLOW and Dazzling Christmas Village district – the newest holiday attraction and light show – was hit with a “grumpy individual” causing the attraction to close one day of business.
“It’s with a mix of holiday cheer and a dash of ‘bah humbug’ that we must inform you of some Grinch-like shenanigans that recently unfolded at our magical realm of lights. We had a significant amount of theft and property damage that has led us to believe that a grinch in the area wanted to target us and our holiday spirits. Fear not! We’ve teamed up with the Washington Township Police Department to catch the grump individual,” according to a post on the attraction’s social media page.
The attraction team posted the incident in a humorous way creating a Wanted poster of The Grinch for “larceny, burglary and Christmas Sabotage.”
“Please note that while we are fun and oftentimes humorous, this is unfortunately not a joke,” the post said.
The attraction, which opened on Nov. 22, was closed Dec. 11. It has since reopened.
“We’ll be busy fixing the mess left behind our furry green friend. If you have any information related to our damage, please contact the Washington Township Police Department. Your information could save Christmas or at least our decorations!”
Ticketholders were able to reschedule.
“Thank you for your understanding and together let’s make this [a] ‘Grinch-less’ holiday season one for the books!,” the post concluded.
Anyone with information regarding the burglary is asked to contact Detective Matt Barnett at (856) 589-0330 or by email: [email protected]
