County residents can vote early starting Oct. 28 at seven locations

A new early voting site is located at the Tabernacle Rescue Squad Building on New Road

Burlington County Elections officials want to remind Burlington County voters who plan to participate in the Nov. 7 General Election that they have the option of voting early with a machine.

One of the early voting locations has moved this year, so election officials encourage voters to carefully review the list to select a location that is most convenient for them and their schedules.

The new location is at the Tabernacle Rescue Squad building on 134 New Road. It replaces a Shamong location used before the June primary.

Early voting

The nine-day early voting period begins Saturday, Oct. 28, and will continue through Sunday, Nov. 5, at seven early voting sites in Burlington County. During the early voting period, registered voters from any of Burlington County’s 40 municipalities may go to any early voting location to cast their ballot with a machine. This is different from Election Day, when voters must go to their assigned polling spot in their town of residence.

All seven early voting locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and Saturdays. On Sundays, the locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Here are the early voting locations:

-Chesterfield at the Chesterfield Township Municipal Building, 295 Bordentown-Chesterfield Road;

– Evesham at the Gibson House Community Center, 535 East Main Street, Marlton;

– Medford at the Medford Town Hall, 49 Union Street;

– Mount Laurel at Rowan College at Burlington County Student Success Center, 1500 College Circle;

– Pemberton Township at the Pemberton Community Library, 16 Broadway, Browns Mills;

– Tabernacle at the Tabernacle Rescue Squad, 134 New Road;

– Willingboro at the Willingboro Public Library, 220 Campbell Drive.

Any registered voter is eligible to cast their ballot at an early voting location. However, voters who have already requested or received a vote-by-mail ballot will not be permitted to vote with a machine during the early voting period or on Election Day. They will be allowed to vote with a paper provisional ballot.

Vote by mail

Vote-by-mail ballots have been sent to registered voters who requested them. Those ballots can still be requested online at the Couty Clerk’s page (https://www.co.burlington.nj.us/1726/Voting-Resources) until Tuesday, Oct. 31. After that date, VBM ballots must be requested in-person at the County Clerk’s Office located at 50 Rancocas Road, Mount Holly.

All in-person VBM requests must be made by 3 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 6. No VBM ballots will be issued after that deadline.

Completed vote-by-mail ballots can be submitted through the U.S. Post Office or placed in one of 28 secure drop boxes located throughout the county. A list of the drop boxes is available online at https://nj.gov/state/elections/vote-secure-drop-boxes.shtml.

Voters may also hand-deliver VBM ballots to the Burlington County Board of Elections Office at 50 Rancocas Road. There is a drop box outside the building.

All completed VBM ballots must be postmarked, placed in a secure drop box or hand-delivered to the Election Board before 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 7.

Election Day voting

Voters can also cast ballots in-person with a machine on Tuesday, Nov. 7, at their regular polling location.

To find your Election Day polling site, go to https://www.nj.gov/state/elections/vote-polling-location.shtml.

Residents with questions about the election and voting process can call the Burlington County Elections Hotline at (609) 265-VOTE.
