Burlington County is hosting a career fair this month that’s slated to be the biggest one yet.
Sponsored by the Burlington County Commissioners, the 7th Legislative District Office of Senator Troy Singleton and the Burlington County Department of Human Services Workforce Development Board, the career fair will be held on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the county’s human services building.
More than 50 different employers from various industries and sectors will be present for the fair and will be looking to fill positions, apprenticeships or internships. Private and public sector employers will be present, including representatives from Burlington County, which is looking to fill open positions in several departments, including Corrections, Sheriff’s Office, Public Works, Public Safety and Health Department.
Burlington County has multiple positions open for immediate hire, such as Correctional Police Officers, Sheriff Officers, Public Safety Telecommunicators and Truck Drivers that offer competitive salaries and benefits. Officials will be present at the fair to explain the hiring process and various job requirements.
The career fair is open to all Burlington County residents, students and job seekers. Attendees are encouraged to dress professionally (business attire is recommended) and to bring multiple copies of their resumes. Many employers will be conducting interviews during the career fair.

The career fair is the latest employment event organized by Burlington County this year amid increased economic growth in the county and region. The first was held in March and featured employers from the construction and utilities fields. May’s event targeted teen and young adult job seekers and the one in June was designed for residents and job seekers interested in careers in health care.
