Spring Break is fast approaching, and many Moorestown families are looking for fun and educational things to do to fill the time off from school. The Moorestown Library has you covered with new museum passes, Launchpad learning tablets, hotspots for travel and children’s crafts.
The library’s museum pass collection offers the perfect solution for anyone seeking adventure close to home. Library cardholders can browse the collection of free passes, reserve a pass and print it at home or pick it up at the library (not all passes are available to print from home.)
This spring, we are pleased to introduce new passes for the MoMA (Museum of Modern Art), Guggenheim, and Brandywine Museum of Art, in addition to old favorites like New Jersey State Parks, Battleship New Jersey, the Academy of Natural Sciences, the Penn Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology, and Woodford Cedar Run Wildlife Refuge, just to name a few. Visit moorestownlibrary.org/museum-passes/ or call the library at (856) 234-0333 to start planning your spring break day trips. Museum Passes are sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library.
The library’s newest offering, Launchpad learning tablets, are great for keeping kids ages 3-6 engaged during quiet times, rainy days or long car rides. Each Launchpad comes pre-loaded with a variety of learning games centered around a fun theme such as Dinosaurs, Construction, Fun on the Farm, and Spanish Language. With a super-durable and easy-to-grip case, kid-friendly navigation and no Internet required, Launchpads are the perfect tech for little ones to use independently. Reserve one today to borrow for a two-week period.
If your travel plans have you heading off the beaten path, you don’t have to leave Wi-Fi behind. Bring the Wi-Fi with you by checking out a mobile hotspot. These 4G enabled, pocket-sized and durable hotspots offer seamless wireless data for up to 15 devices anywhere you need it. Hotspots may be reserved online at moorestownlibrary.org/mobile-hotspots or by calling the library. Mobile hotspots are sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library.
Of course, you can have an exciting spring break without ever leaving Moorestown. The library is the perfect destination to keep kids of all ages occupied and entertained all week long.
In addition to our playroom, computers, early literacy and coloring tables, and huge selection of books, the library will offer drop-in crafts every day throughout the week. Children and their caregivers can visit any time to make a different animal-themed craft each day, Monday through Friday. Saturday is leftover day, so be sure to drop in and make any of the crafts you missed throughout the week, while supplies last. This Spring Break Craft Bonanza is sponsored by the Friends of the Moorestown Library.
