The Indian King Tavern’s yearly fundraiser “A Tankard at the Tavern” will take place on Saturday, Sept. 16.
The sixth annual fundraiser event called “A Tankard at the Tavern” will be held on Saturday, Sept. 16 in the back garden of the Indian King Tavern.
There will be two sessions: 4 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Tickets are $60 and all proceeds benefit programming and events at the Tavern all year long.
Three breweries are participating this year. Wyndridge Farm of York, Pa., will offer two beers and two ciders, Eight and Sand Brewery of Woodbury will serve four beers and Double Nickel Brewing of Pennsauken will pour two brews.
New this year will be entertainment by the pirate band the Sea Dogs who will perform at the second session. Also, a re-enactor portraying Benjamin Franklin will be on hand. Rode’s Catering will serve a pig roast, roasted chicken, pineapple stuffing and scalloped potatoes. Two Fish restaurant in Haddonfield will be selling jumbo shrimp for $1 each.
