With temperatures in South Jersey dropping below freezing this winter, 13 Tatem Elementary School first-grade girls from Girl Scout Troop 30038 joined together to spread warmth in more ways than one. Focusing on keeping those in need bundled up, the troop began decorating a collection box to put at the Haddonfield library for donated items such as hats, scarfs, socks and gloves for those in need.
The BOE reorganization meeting on Saturday, Jan. 6 appointed both familiar and new faces
The Haddonfield Board of Education reorganization meeting on Saturday, Jan. 6, was the beginning of a new chapter for Tom Vecchio, as he joined the board for the first time. The board re-elected Adam Sangillo as president and Susan Kutner as vice president. Incumbents Glenn Moramarco, Heather Paoli and Maureen Eyles were also sworn in to the board. Interim Business Administrator John Deserable administered the Oath of Office to Moramarco for a one-year term, and to Vecchio, Paoli and Eyles for three-year terms. Sangillo and Kutner took their positions with unanimous votes from the board.
Haddonfield wellness group makes their own happiness
It started with an idea that unexpectedly blossomed into reality when wife and mother of two Lisa George reached out to women in her community on social media. With a desire to stay active, George turned to Facebook in April 2016 to find a walking partner during the evenings while her daughter was asleep. It would eventually lead to the popular Haddonfield group, Haddonfield Women’s Health and Wellness.
