Borough Commissioners clarify an ordinance at Tuesday’s meeting

An ordinance was passed on second reading at last Tuesday’s commissioners’ meeting that amends requirements regarding breweries, distilleries and winery salerooms. “Basically this has to do with the new brewery in Haddonfield,” Mayor Neal Rochford said. “It will put some limitations on what they can and cannot do at the site.”

Citizen of the Year shares his story

Although Haddonfield native Robert Turner has spent most of his life helping others, he never fathomed he would be Citizen of the Year, an award reserved for a citizen who has profoundly and positively impacted their community by helping others. Turner’s accomplishments include winning Teacher of the Year in 1996 while teaching in Winslow Township School District and The Melvin Jones Award, bestowed upon a citizen who lives their life in a charitable way, abiding by the values of the Haddonfield Lions Club, not once, but three times. An update on the Bancroft Property by the Haddonfield Borough Board of Commissioners

The following information was submitted to The Sun from the Borough

As you are likely aware, in January 2016 the Borough of Haddonfield entered into an agreement with the developer who had a contract to purchase the Bancroft property. This developer had proposed to build a drug and alcohol treatment facility. Under this agreement the Borough purchased the Bancroft property, while the developer retained rights to develop the residential portion of the property.
