Goals for the next year will include collaborations with Haddonfield Borough officials, educators, business owners, organizations in town, and the general public, to create increased environmental awareness and involvement in green practices and initiatives.
The two teams will also be hard at work on the re-certification of Haddonfield Borough as a Silver-Level Certified Sustainable Jersey town. Haddonfield has been a silver-level town for the past five years.
Sustainable Haddonfield encourages the sustainable use of our community’s natural, human, and economic resources through education, outreach, and collaborative partnerships between residents, community organizations, borough government, and neighboring towns. Members of Sustainable Haddonfield include; Saba Aftab, Jenifer Anzalone, Katharine Koob, Linda Davis-Moon, Rosalyn Scaff, and Diane Schrauth.
The Environmental Commission is an advisory body to the Planning Board and Borough Commissioners on matters affecting Haddonfield’s natural and built environment. Members of the Environmental Commission are: Mishael Azam, Julie Beddingfield, Dan Brewer, Doug Campbell, Steve Platt, John Stokes, and Michael Tyler.
Both teams are always welcoming new members. Anyone wishing to join either group can do so by visiting the Haddonfield Borough website, at www.haddonfieldnj.org.
