Haddonfield Crafts and Fine Art Festival celebrates 26 years
The Haddonfield Crafts and Fine Art Festival will celebrate its 26th year in Haddonfield with more than 250 vendors on Saturday, July 7 and Sunday, July 8. Artists from around the country will gather on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. along Kings Highway between Washington Avenue and Haddon Avenue and along Tanner Street to Euclid Avenue.
Haddonfield Public Library displays more than books
Every book contains a story, but what residents may not know is that new meaning can be found behind every book — at least that is the philosophy at the Haddonfield Public Library. Cardboard book displays, all with a unique touch and hand-crafted by teens in the community, are now on display in the library’s Teen Commons room, but how these displays came to be is a story of its own. Resident and architect Benita Cooper said the idea for a “Design Build Workshop” to teach teens how to make displays blossomed after a conversation with Library Director Eric Zino about the need for design and construction-themed educational events that empower young women and men.
Haddonfield celebrates the fourth
On July 3, the celebrations association of Haddonfield will have food and at least seven bounce houses on Kings Highway starting at 6 p.m., with fireworks prepared to go off at the middle school. On July 4, the annual 4th of July parade will take place at 10 a.m. along Kings Highway. Residents are encouraged to come join the festivities.
