A historic architectural walking tour of Haddonfield will be offered at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 14. It will start at the Haddonfield Historical Society, 343 Kings Highway East. Joe Haro, long-time architecture guide in Haddonfield will lead the tour.
This causal stroll of beautiful tree lined streets will sample a variety of houses and other significant buildings dating from the early 1700’s through the 20th century. It will move from the town’s early Quaker roots and continue through the period when Haddonfield continued to grow as a “suburban” community when the Camden to Atlantic City train came through the town in the mid 1800s.
The tour lasts about an hour and a half and costs $10.
All proceeds benefit the activities of the Preservation Alliance for Greater Philadelphia.
No reservations are necessary. For further information contact Joe Haro at 795–1228. There is ample free parking in front of the Historical Society and the tour will end where it starts.
