Police Reports

The follow items are on file with the Haddonfield Police Department:

• A Potter Street resident reported to police on Feb. 25 at 10:15 a.m. that an abandoned bicycle had been left on his property overnight. The bike is a men’s maroon and silver colored mountain bike.

The bike is a “Next” brand bicycle and a “Power X” model. The serial number was provided to the police.

•A Hopkins Avenue resident reported to police on Feb. 27 at 8:46 a.m. that her parked car was entered sometime overnight and her glove box was rummaged through.

The victim reported that her GPS was stolen from her car. She did not have the serial number for the item and did not report the value of the GPS.

• A Peyton Avenue resident reported to police on Feb. 27 at 3:56 p.m. that she was recently scammed by a Nigerian e-mail. She said she sent $700 via Western Union to a male in Nigeria for a rental property located in Cherry Hill.

The victim was advised by the police department official to contact the state attorney general’s office and the federal trade commission that she was scammed by this suspect.

The victim reported back to police on Feb. 28 that she filed a report with the federal trade commission.

• A Tavistock Lane resident reported to police on Feb. 28 at 2:41 p.m. that sometime between Dec. 20 and Feb. 8 an unknown suspect stole several pieces of silverware from his dining room in his home.

Between the dates mentioned he said that only three people has access to his home that could have taken the silverware. There was no work being done on his home at the time and there were no signs of forced entry into the home, he said.

The value of the silverware was more than $8,000.

• An Elm Avenue resident reported to police on Feb. 28 at 4:46 p.m. that sometime between Feb. 23 and Feb. 24 a suspect entered her unlocked vehicle and stole a pair of sunglasses and a pair of prescription transition lenses.

There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle. The sunglasses and lenses were valued at $650.
