Volunteer Center of Burlington County celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day

The MLK Day Challenge encourages residents to join in memorializing Dr. King by participating in service projects in their communities.

Special to The Sun

The 16th Annual MLK Day Challenge on Jan. 17 will be a drop-off only event at the Burlington County Library – Main Branch – 5 Pioneer Blvd., Westampton, New Jersey from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The purpose of the Challenge is to encourage Burlington County residents to join hundreds of thousands of Americans across the country in remembering and memorializing Dr. King by participating in service projects in their communities.

Together, we will honor King’s legacy of tolerance, peace and equality by meeting community needs and making the holiday a day of community service.

Thereby making Martin Luther King Jr. Day a day on, not a day off.

Thank you to the Burlington County Library System for once again hosting this very special event.
