On January 16, the Haddonfield children’s choir Children Song will be hosting a sing along at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior at 204 Wayne Ave, Haddonfield from 2 to 3:30 p.m.
All are invited to lift their voices together in songs centered around diversity, equity, and inclusion. The songs are from the Justice Choir Songbook and are not religious.
“Communal singing empowers participants, strengthens the bonds of community, and creates hope and change,” explained Polly Murray, Founder and ARtistic Director of ChildrenSong.
The purpose of this intergenerational sing-along is to promote awareness, hope, and conversation through communal singing. The event is free and open to the public. Participants must wear a mask.Â
This event is offered in connection with The National Day of Racial Healing and is supported by the Creating Change Network in partnership with the Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation Center at Rutgers University – Newark. The activities of the Creating Change Network are made possible by the Grunin Foundation.
