Starting Dec. 1 through Dec. 23, the Haddonfield Police Department will collect new and unwrapped toys for the United States Marine Corps Toys for Tots Campaign. The official collection bin is inside the lobby of the police department in the lower level of borough hall. The hours of drop-off are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parking Enforcement Officer Mary Blackman crafted the two decorated bins.
The toys collected will be distributed to children throughout Camden County.
“We are very excited once again to be an official collection site for The Marine Corps,” says Haddonfield Police Chief Jason Cutler. “Every child deserves toys for Christmas, and we are happy to play a part in making that happen.”
The Toys for Tots campaign, a 74-year national charitable program run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, provides happiness and hope to less fortunate children during each Christmas holiday season. In 2020 The Camden County chapter distributed more than 31,000 toys and supported 15,000 children.
