On Saturday, July 21, the first time defending Division A champions, Wedgewood Swim Team, coached by Jim Villa, faced perennial powerhouse Pheasant Run Swim Club of Cinnaminson.
Wedgewood, a club consisting only of Haddonfield residents, was 30 points down to Pheasant Run, which pulls from Moorestown, Cinnaminson, Haddonfield and surrounding areas. Wedgewood kids won 8 of the final 11 freestyle relays, to narrowly (victory came down to the final race) retain the Division A Championship.
