Jake Miller and Patricia Cummings on track to renew their positions on Council

Berlin Community Schools may see three new faces on its board of education according to unofficial election results.

Independent incumbents Jake Miller and Patricia Cummings are on track to keep their positions on the Berlin Borough Council, according to the unofficial results with the Camden County Board of Elections, with 100 percent of precincts reporting.

Miller received 1,186 votes while Cummings received 1,143 votes. The two ran unopposed to fill the two open seats.

For the three open seats on the Berlin Community School Board of Education, Alison Moyer (891) Jeannine Foster (888) and incumbent Brandy Titus (782) are leading against incumbent Jeffrey Greenberg (773), Michael McGowan (761), Michael Ann Bird (715) and Craig Bookwalter (617).

In the race to fill three seats on the Camden County  Board of Commissioners, with 98 percent of precincts reporting, Democrat incumbents Jeffrey Nash (84,909), Melinda Kane (84,275) and Almar Dyer (81,762) are on track to keep their seats against Republican candidates Jennifer Moore (50,996) Johanna Scheets (49,703) and Rachel Boberg (49,168).

In regional races affecting the borough, the General Assembly’s 8th District’s Republican candidates Michael Torrissi Jr (4,552) and Brandon Umba (4,369) are leading against Democratic candidates Mark Natale (4,057) and Allison Eckel (4,079) for the two seats open seats.

In the race for State Senate’s 8th District, Republican Jean Stanfield leads by 3 percent against Democrat candidate Dawn Marie Addiego.

Democrat Gilbert ‘Whip’ Wilson, running unopposed for Sheriff, has received 96,814 votes.

The race for the governorship of New Jersey was not officially decided as of deadline, but incumbent Governor Phil Murphy appears headed for the top job in Trenton once more, fending off a challenge from GOP counterpart Jack Ciattarelli. In Camden County, with 338 of 343 precincts reporting, Murphy holds a lead of more than 24,000 votes over Ciattarelli. Murphy would become the first Democrat to be sent back to the state capitol by voters since Brendan Byrne in 1977.
