Haddonfield Lions seeking Youth of the Year nominees

Deadline for submissions is one week from today, April 20.

The Haddonfield Area Lions Club is taking nominations for the William G. Hansen Youth of the Year Award for 2021.

This award, named for Bill Hansen, who was a Lion and dedicated community volunteer for more than 50 years and Haddonfield Citizen of the Year in 1987, is given annually to a few students who live in Haddonfield.

The award recognizes students who volunteer and truly give to their community and surrounding communities in order to help those in need. We are looking for students, who, like Bill (who passed away in March 2020 at the age of 102), dedicate time and energy into giving back.

If you would like to nominate someone, please email Committee Chairs Debra Nussbaum and/or Ellen Ragone. Please give us the name and contact information for the nominator and nominee and tell us the name, age, grade of the nominee along with the activities the nominee engages in as a volunteer along with any stories that show the nominee’s commitment to helping others.

You may email Debra at: [email protected] and Ellen at: [email protected]. All nominations are due by April 20.
