Gloucester Township Police investigate fatal motorcycle crash on Black Horse Pike

On Thursday, March 11, 2021, at approximately 7:40 a.m., officers from the Gloucester Township PoliceĀ  Department were dispatched to the Black Horse Pike in the area of Clementon Avenue for a motor vehicle crash involving a motorcycle.

The motorcycle was traveling northbound on the Black Horse Pike and struck a lowboy tractor trailer that was moving equipment from a construction site. The motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced deceased at theĀ  scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on location.

The Black Horse Pike was closed between Almonesson Road and Church Street for several hours during theĀ  initial stages of the investigation. The investigation is being conducted by the Gloucester Township PoliceĀ  Serious Crash Investigation Team (SCIT).

The names of the drivers are not being released at this time pending the completion of the investigation.
