Railroad crossing on Route 322 to close for re-surfacing, warning device upgrade

An advisory from the Monroe Township Police Department says the project is expected to begin on Monday and last no longer than 10 days.

Route 322 will be closed to all vehicles at the milepost 32.44 railroad crossing beginning on Monday, April 20, for an upgrade to the surface and warning devices at the crossing.

Milepost 32.44 falls between Piney Hollow Road and Cains Mill Road in Monroe Township. The New Jersey Department of Transportation will begin a railroad crossing upgrade of the surface and warning devices at that location. This area will not be passable for local traffic.

The job is expected to be completed by April 30 Detour signs will be posted in advance of the construction site.
