Haddonfield, Delaware Valley facing heavy rains

National Weather Service issues a flood watch for most of Thursday

Haddonfield and most of the Philadelphia region will be under an areal flood watch on Thursday as heavy rain is expected to arrive in the region.

The National Weather Service has issued the flood watch to be in effect from 4 a.m. Thursday morning through 6 p.m. Thursday evening. One to two inches of rain is expected during the day.

According to the National Weather Service, moderate to heavy rain is expected from early Thursday morning through the afternoon. This could cause urban flooding as well as flooding in poor drainage areas. Isolated flash flooding and river flooding is also possible in some areas. Residents are asked to monitor the weather on Thursday and be alert for possible flood warnings.
