Students at Elizabeth Haddon School in Haddonfield were challenged to raise money for the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart and Hoops For Heart . This national service learning program focuses on education, physical activity and raising dollars for research. The students responded with $16,696 raised.
At 1:45 p.m. on March 17 at a special school community meeting, physical education teacher, Jennifer Wisniewski, who organized the program, will present students with American Heart Association Awards of Excellence for Jump Rope For Heart and Hoops For Heart to the top class and each grade’s top fundraisers. At the community meeting a few brave faculty members will surprise students by getting a buzz cut and a ponytail chop from George Miraglia of Mirano’s Barber Shop in Haddonfield.
