The Haddon Fortnightly crowns Spelling Bee champ

Central Elementary student takes top honors in competition.

Thirty-four fifth-grade contestants competed in The Haddon Fortnightly’s annual Spelling Bee on Jan. 16 at Christ the King Regional Catholic School. Luke Patterson of Central Elementary School was declared the winner after spelling the final word, ‘university.’ Pictured from left in the front row: third-place winner Harrison Berman, Patterson and second-place winner, Ryder Bozine.
