Celebrate Prohibition at Historical Society on Jan. 25

Celebrating 100th anniversary of the Volstead Act.

The Historical Society is marking the 100th anniversary of the start of Prohibition with a special “Greenfield Hall Speakeasy” on Saturday, Jan. 25.

For this special one-night-only fundraiser, we will be recreating the atmosphere of the notorious secret cocktail parties of the time, with live music, delicious food, and craft cocktails.

To honor Haddonfield’s long history of temperance we will also provide non-alcoholic drinks that were popular during the time. We’ll be holding two limited seatings, one at 5 p.m. and another at 7 p.m., both at Greenfield Hall, 343 Kings Highway East. Only 50 tickets are available for each. Cost is $60 per person, and all proceeds will benefit the Historical Society. Guests must be at least 21 years old.

Tickets can be purchased at: https://haddonfieldhistory.org/greenfield-hall-speakeasy-tickets/, or drop off a check during the Historical Society’s public hours (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 1-4 p.m.), or mail us a check at 343 Kings Highway East, Haddonfield. Please be sure to note which seating you’re hoping to attend.
